Why should you be happy? Because
You are alive. There are people who passed away even at the age of one. You are lucky to be alive, healthy, and breathing today.
You know where your next meal is coming from. There are kids and adults who are starving and have no food whatsoever.
You have a home. There are people out there living out on the streets of the city, who shiver and freeze every night when they go to sleep. And they don’t have a bed to sleep in.
You are surrounded by amazing people. They care about you and love you. They would honestly do anything for you and they are the ones who help you make it through every single day.
You go to school. There are kids who cannot get an education and cannot learn. You have the chance to go to school and learn. I’m not just talking about learning math or english. You have the chance to learn about the people around you and about yourself.
You are beautiful. You may be overweight, your teeth may not be perfect, you may get acne, you may have frizzy hair, you may be short or you may be tall, you may have huge boobs or none at all, but none of that matters. You look in the mirror and you see “flaws.” But why do they have to be flaws? Why does society view these things as “imperfections” or “flaws”? Why can’t these things just be viewed as who you are. This is who you are and you are beautiful. You can change your hair color, you can go on a diet, or you can get plastic surgery, but none of those things will actually change who you are inside. And you don’t need any of those things because you are beautiful on the outside and the inside.
